The PCI DSS applies to ANY organization, regardless of size or number of transactions, that accepts, transmits or stores any cardholder data.

PCI Compliance

Yes, it matters.  It matters a lot.  Protecting sensitive data is a priority at TDS.

For credit card data protection, TDS follows the strict security standards set by the Payment Card Industry Council.  The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards designed to ensure that ALL companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

TDS acts as “service provider” as defined by the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC):

“Business entity that is directly involved in the processing, storage, or transmission of cardholder data. This also includes companies that provide services that control or could impact the security of cardholder data.”

Reviewed and Verified.

TDS has retained an independent QSA for review and inspection of TDS payment applications to ensure PCI compliance. TDS payment applications are certified as Service Level 1 as required by any entity processing over 300,000 transactions per year. As a Level 1 Service provider, TDS engages annually in onsite security inspections, rigorous monthly and quarterly reporting and testing requirements, and an overall dedication to credit card data security.

THE VISA GLOBAL REGISTRY

Visa recommends that clients and merchants reference the Visa Global Registry site regularly as part of their due diligence process, and should only use service providers that are listed on the Registry for outsourcing their payment-related services.
